HDCVI CCTV stands for High Definition Composite Video Interface and can sometimes be referred to as high definition analog CCTV. It is a relatively new technology that offers the benefits of high definition recording without all of the costs associated with a full IP CCTV system. HDCVI is a little different from other analog and HD type cameras. Unlike other variations, you’ll find that in most cases, you’ll need to be using solid copper RG59 Siamese cable. Why? Well, it’s because HDCVI cameras are capable of transmitting video up to 1600 feet.
